  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  9. For the glaze, combine brown sugar and cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it melts. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze.

Notes

  • Feel free to add chocolate chips or nuts for added texture.
  • These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for a few days.
