  • 1 cup Florida orange juice
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together Florida orange juice, pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in walnuts if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together streusel ingredients (usually flour, sugar, and butter) and sprinkle on top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, drizzle with orange glaze made from powdered sugar and Florida orange juice.
