Copycat Ruth’s Chris Potatoes au Gratin

Deliciously creamy and cheesy, these copycat Ruth’s Chris Potatoes au Gratin are the perfect indulgent comfort food for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Slice the potatoes thinly and layer half of them in the dish.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle half of the cheddar and Gruyère cheese.
  6. Layer the remaining potatoes, pour the rest of the cream mixture, and top with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
