Chicken Meatballs in Cream Sauce

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, chicken broth, and nutmeg over medium heat.
  6. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add cooked meatballs to the sauce.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the meatballs to absorb the sauce.
  8. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of lemon juice to the sauce.
