Cattle Drive Casserole

A comforting and indulgent casserole perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  4. Drain excess fat and add in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding diced bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef mixture.
  • This casserole can be assembled a day in advance and baked just before serving.
